The Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Philosophy

The Nebraska football philosophy is very simple.

*We will play very physical football on both sides of the ball.

*We will play exceptional defense that forces a lot of three and outs as well as creates turnovers. By playing great defense we can also control the field position.

*By playing sound special teams can shorten the field for our offensive football team.

*Our offense will not be complicated. We will come at you with power, force you to make quick defensive decisions with our option, misdirect you with our counter game and pop one by you with our traps. Once we have established this running game, we will take advantage of your loading the line of scrimmage to stop our run game and play action pass you to a wide open receiver.

This way of thinking is the cornerstone for the programs success over the last 35 years,and still holds true today! Go Big Red !
