Nebraska's 2001 Season is
over and now we are all waiting for 2002 college football to begin.I
will still be updating this Nebraska football site during the off season
just not as much until spring ball etc... Sharkfeet is undergoing some
changes and improvements including several added features so stay

longest active streak in the nation. Florida is second with nine.
Nebraska owns the all-time record with 17 from 1981-97. 26-- Times in the past 29 seasons Nebraska has
started the season ranked in the top 10. 5-- Schools that have been to bowl games in each of
the past 11 seasons: Florida, Nebraska, Florida State, Tennessee and
Michigan. Nebraska has gone to a bowl 33 straight years, an ongoing NCAA
record. 6-- Times that the AP poll's second- and
third-ranked teams have met in a bowl game, including the 2002 Fiesta
Bowl between No. 2 Oregon and No. 3 Colorado. The No. 3 team has won
three of the five previous meetings. No. 2 Nebraska won the most recent
matchup(prior to the 2002 game),
42-17, against No. 3 Tennessee in the 1998 Orange Bowl. 2 -- Trips to the

football. The Huskers' winning percentage of .842 is 52 points higher
than their nearest competitor (Michigan). 3-0 -- Nebraska's
all-time record in overtime, including last season's 27-24 victory at
Notre Dame

.The 88th Rose Bowl in Pasadena California filled with
the largest crowd ever to watch a Husker football game. The Huskers were
embarrassed 37-14 by the Hurricanes in the National Championship game.
